Wife of the Late J. William Bixler Dies with Pneumonia–Interment at Cherry Grove

Mrs. Sallie Bixler died at her home near Cherry Grove, Monday morning at 9 o’clock being ill only a short time with pneumonia. She was preceded to the grave by her husband who died a few years ago. Mrs. Bixler was the wife of the late J. William Bixler, and after his death she lived a the home place until she passed away in the 76 year of her life.

Surviving the deceased are the following children: Mrs. David F. Runion, Mannasses, Va.; D. Frank Bixler, Windina, Va.; J. Edward Bixler, New Castle, Pa.; Miss Sallie Bixler at home; Joe Smith, an adopted son, also at home. She is also survived by one sister, Miss Mattie Walters, of Conicsville, and two brothers, F.B. Walters of New Castle, Ohio, and Frank Walters, of Stanardsville, Greene County.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o’clock from the Cherry Grove United Brethren Church. The services will be in charge of Rev. N.F. A. Cupp, of Singers Glen. Interments will be made in the church cemetery.
