<p><a title="Link to Sallie Bixler Walters lineage" href="http://wild-type.com/huesing/getperson.php?personID=I526&amp;tree=husing">Mrs. Sallie Bixler</a> died at her home near Cherry Grove, Monday morning at 9 o&#8217;clock being ill only a short time with pneumonia. She was preceded to the grave by <a title="Link to John William Bixler lineage" href="http://wild-type.com/huesing/getperson.php?personID=I525&amp;tree=husing">her husband</a> who died a few years ago. Mrs. Bixler was the wife of the late J. William Bixler, and after his death she lived a the home place until she passed away in the 76 year of her life.</p>
<p>Surviving the deceased are the following children: Mrs. David F. Runion, Mannasses, Va.; D. Frank Bixler, Windina, Va.; <a title="Link to Edward Bixler lineage" href="http://wild-type.com/huesing/getperson.php?personID=I517&amp;tree=husing">J. Edward Bixler</a>, New Castle, Pa.; Miss Sallie Bixler at home; Joe Smith, an adopted son, also at home. She is also survived by one sister, Miss Mattie Walters, of Conicsville, and two brothers, F.B. Walters of New Castle, Ohio, and Frank Walters, of Stanardsville, Greene County.</p>
<p>Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock from the Cherry Grove United Brethren Church. The services will be in charge of Rev. N.F. A. Cupp, of Singers Glen. Interments will be made in the church cemetery.</p>

<p><a title="Link to Edice Bixler McCleary lineage" href="http://wild-type.com/huesing/getperson.php?personID=I188&amp;tree=husing">Mrs. William Bixler</a>, Spruce street, entertained Saturday afternoon in honor of the fourth birthday of her daughter, <a title="Link to Thelma Maxine &quot;Dolly&quot; Bixler lineage" href="http://wild-type.com/huesing/getperson.php?personID=I190&amp;tree=husing">Dolly</a>. The hours from 2 until 4 were enjoyed with games and the prize was won by Miss Betty Raney.</p>
<p>A large birthday cake with four lighted candles centered the table and refreshments were served by the hostess assisted by Mrs. Morley Sweet, Jr. and Mrs. Sidney Morgan.</p>
<p>Many lovely gifts were received by the honor guest.</p>
<p>Those present were the Misses Muriel McCleary, Isabel Morgan, Aretha Sweet, Doris Whetzel, Betty Raney, Mary Magill, Madalyn Earl, <a title="Link to Carol Elaine Bixler lineage" href="http://wild-type.com/huesing/getperson.php?personID=I69&amp;tree=husing">Carol</a> and Dolly Bixler.</p>
