Louis Husing Sr., 79, RD 6, died at Jameson Memorial Hospital at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. He had been in failing health for some time.
Born in Germany, Feb. 4, 1860, he was married to Annie Armstrong Husing and was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Husing.
Mr. Husing was a retired miner and a member of United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to his wife, he leaves five children: Mrs. John (Cecelia) Steckler, Mrs. Clarence (Christina) Bice, both of Grove City; Mrs. Mike (Martha) Martini, New Wilmington; Louis Husing, Jr., Ellwood City; Edward F. Husing, Lockport, N.Y., 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nora Singer, Germany.
Friends will be received at the Robert A. Myers Home for Funerals, 208 N. Jefferson St., today and tomorrow from 2-4 and 7-9p.m.
Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harry Liehy of the Oak grove UP Church in charge. interment will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
